Canada Day Celebrations with Jess

Hello friends!

Hey Glitter Groupies!  It's Designer Jess here today and I'm going to show you how to make this shiny and patriotic Canada Day Card!!

First up, let me tell you the supplies I used to make this fun HANDMADE CARD!

Here is my complete list of SparkleNSprinkle Supplies:

 Sophie Pup Stamp Set 00-900P8

Nuvo Marker Pens 322n

Versamark Ink VM-001

Red Apple Embossing Powder EP276

Red Berry Crystal Drops 667n

Tonic Craft Perfect Papers - Satin Effect Honey Gold 9487e

Silver Moondust Glitter Drops 756n

Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Pen 103n

1/2" Tear-ific Tape SAT04

Silver Embossing Powder EP179

FIREWORKS STAMPENDOUS STENCIL [DWLJ886]

Not that long of a list, right? So let's get to creating this FUN HANDMADE CARD!

First, I started by stamping my adorable puppy image with Versafine Black Ink, then colored it with the NEW Nuvo Marker Pens!!!  I didn't record which colors I used (I promise, I'm going to work on remembering this step!

Then, using the Clear Mark Embossing Pen, I added some SILVER Embossing Powder to the flag pole :)  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and embossed with Red Apple Embossing Powder. I also added a hint of the Red Apple Embossing Powder to the maple leaf on the flag.

Of course I used 1/2" Tear-ific Tape to adhere all my layers!  For the EMBOSSED gold background, I actually had the Embossing Folder Version of the Fireworks Stencil!  BUT you could make the same background with the mirror cardstock using the stencil - just dry emboss it from the back!!  I thought that a celebration like Canada Day (or the Fourth of July!) can always include fireworks, right?

All of the layers were adhered with the 1/2" Tear-ific Tape!  Finally, I used the Red Berry Crystal Drops and Silver Moondust Glitter Drops were added to finish off the handmade card.

Clean, elegant and ready to celebrate all things Canadian!!!  I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial!  Have a great day!!!  For more great card tutorials like this, you can head over to my personal blog HERE.
