Anne here and I think everyone needs a little encouragement every now and then. Today's card is perfect for those times. It showcases the sentiment from the new Girlfriends Support Set 2 and adds the flower from the Girlfriends Support Set 1. (Did you know this series of stamp sets were meant to be interchanged? Be on the look out for more in this series in the coming months.)
I created a double frame by die cutting the Tonic Studios Ribbon and Bows Layering set from cardstock and a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet. After removing the backing paper (and saving it - you will see it used in a future post) from the frame, I covered the exposed adhesive with Cloud Nine velvet glitter.
The center of the die cut piece was stamped with VesaMark and heat set with Fabulous Grape embossing powder. Then I stamped my sentiment directly on top of the embossing powder.
I stamped with VersaMark onto the Fabulous Grape, added White Detail embossing powder and heat set it again. You can always repeat this step if you want the sentiment to be even brighter and have a bit more dimension. I was happy with the first stamping, so I didn't do it a second time.
A Crafters Companion (Hessian) embossing folder was used to create my matted layer. After dry embossing it, I curled down a corner, added a bit of VersaMark to the back side and then heat set it with more Fabulous Grape embossing powder. I also stamped the small flower from the Girlfriends Support Set 1 onto the card base so that it was peeking behind the curled corner.
The sparkly frame was pop dotted on top of the dry embossed mat and the sentiment was recessed into the center. A touch of tulle finishes off this very feminine card.
