Imagine...You're Home by Vicki

Hello friends!  I'm so happy March is finally here!  Have you checked out the wonderful March release in the store yet?  I'm excited to be sharing the Lil Garden Cottage rubber stamp set [00-943P5] from the new release with you today:

There are several fun little images to play with in this set and I really enjoyed coloring in the image with my Copic markers.  I used the packaging that came with the stamp set to sort of reference color suggestions for my stamped image.  Plus, it's great to add lots of fun details to it to really make it your own!

Here's the supply list used for my card today:

Stamps:  Lil Garden Cottage [00-943P5]

Embossing Powders:  Coffee [ EP459], White [EP166]

Glitters:  Shamrock [GM2041]

Ink:  VersaMark [VM001]

Adhesives:  1/4" Tear-ific Tape [SAT16], Precision Glue Pen [206N]

Embellishments:  Nuvo Crystal Drops White and Morning Dew

The base of my card is a top folding A2 sized kraft cardstock piece where I took the mushroom images from this stamp set and stamped them with VersaMark ink along the bottom edge.

After stamping and coloring my image on a piece of white cardstock, I took the sentiment from the same stamp set and heat embossed it with the Coffee EP.  I also took an additional piece of cardstock to layer the image with and took my VersaMark ink pad to swipe along the edges with and heat embossed the same Coffee EP for that layer.  I then stamped the other portion of the sentiment over some of the kraft cardstock that I've used for the base of my card and heat embossed it with white EP.  I cut it out in a circle and attached it over my card design.

Before attaching the image and heat embossed layers onto the card base, I took some of the 1/4" Tear-iffic Tape and rolled it together and ran it through the Shamrock Glitter to make my own glitter twine.  (If you haven't seen this before, be sure to watch one of Demo Donna's video on how to do it!)  I tied some of it into a bow to add over my design.

Lastly, to add some accents to my image, I took the Nuvo Precision Glue Pen and used it to color in some areas where I wanted the green and sprinkled it with the same Shamrock glitter.  I then took some Nuvo White Crystal Drops and added a few dots over the red mushroom and then I took some Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops (dries clear) and added it over the window on the house as well as over the snail shell.  (The two mushrooms and snail were all stamped, colored and cut out and then glued where I wanted them on my image panel.)

Hope you've enjoyed my card today!  Thanks so much for dropping in!
