Hello friends! When I think of May I think of all of those gorgeous flowers that come out in bloom! It's always a beautiful time of the year and I wanted to share that with you in my creation today using the new digital stamp set May Day Floral Nosegay Digital stamp set:
Sparkle N Sprinkle Products:
Stamps: May Day Floral Nosegay (digi only) 3151J
Embossing Powders: Sweetheart EP109
Ink: VersaMark VM001
Embellishments: Nuvo Honey Gold Glitter Drops 762N
I started by cutting out the Tonic Rococo Fern die (wreath) with some green colored cardstock and again with just white cardstock. I cut out the sentiment that was printed from the digital set with the Tonic Basics Scalloped Square dies and sponged around the edges with some blue ink. I then took the green wreath and centered it over the sentiment and glued it with the Dimensional Glue.
I took the white wreath and cut out the RIBBON PORTION ONLY with scissors and then covered it with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with the Sweetheart Embossing Powder. (This has a really pretty sparkle to it!) I cut out another piece of white cardstock that's layered behind the scallop square and did this same technique with the edges of it. And then layered another piece of black cardstock behind it. I also fussy cut all of the flowers from the digital set and glued them onto the wreath. For the tiny pink flowers sticking out from the white ones, I used a Clear Mark embossing pen on the edges and heat embossed more of this same embossing powder over them. I embellished the centers of the flowers with the Nuvo Honey Gold glitter drops.
For the background of my card, I cut a light blue A2 sized top folding card base and then cut out a couple of the same colored cardstock pieces using the Tonic Elegant Columuns die set and then sponged lightly some white ink and glued them to the card base.
Then I took the layered wreath panel and attached some craft foam to the back for dimension and glued it on the blue card base.
This is a very simple but elegant card to make! I hope that you've enjoyed it and been inspired by the new release! I'll be back again soon! Thanks for dropping by! - Vicki
