I used both images and one sentiment from the Feathered Friends Stamp Set. Because I used watercolor cardstock, all the stamping is done with Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. It helped me to get nice a crisp impression of the images. I started by stamping the birds with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and then heat embossed them with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. Then I covered the bird in the middle with Nuvo Masking Fluid. After it was dry, I stamped and heat embossed the wreath same way as the birds were done.
The sentiment was stamped with same Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink but it is heat embossed with Morning Glory Embossing Powder. Everything is colored with Aqua Flow Watercolor Brush Pens from various sets (Spring Meadow, Summer Holiday, Autumn Woodland, Winter Sky and Ocean Air). I added some sparkle to the purple flowers with Sakura Glue Pen and Purple Dust Glitter. This glitter is semi-transparent so it will pick up color from underneath. The same glitter is added to the edge of this layer as well. They look different because the color underneath is different.
I used Chrome Silver Craft Perfect Mirror Card as matting layers. It's too pretty to waste it so first I cut the square layer. Then I used a die from the Jasmine Sunset Layering Die Set to die cut a shape from the middle of this square. I used the inner edge of the same die to trace this shape to the image layer, which I cut with scissors.
The background layer is cut a bit smaller from the matting layer. I covered the edges of the background panel with 3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Unicorn Glitter. Again, there was no point of waisting this gorgeous glitter by covering entire panel if it is going to be covered anyway.
Parts of the birds are covered with White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops. It picked up the color from underneath and added nice sparkle and dimension to the birds.
Thank you for the visit!
